After three years of intensive R&D, where speed, ease of handling and durability were the guiding interests, the innovating concept of the Swift Solo was fixed.
A (red) cedar core with a S2-glass/epoxy laminate on the outside and a aramid ("Kevlar®")/Carbon/epoxy laminate on the inside garantuees the stiffness of the boat for many years even under the worst conditions. A unique sheeting systems makes this skiff surprisingly easy to handle.
Swift Solo is the only solo skiff class that carries three sails, main, jib and asymmetrical genakker, resulting in 36 m² of cloth.
